OMG best przdent eva

September 7, 2009

Well, you did it, America. You gave us a rock star in the White House. Thanks, so much for your participation. Thanks for nothing. Sorry, do I sound bitter? No use crying over spilled milk, I guess. Now we all just have to deal with it and (assuming capitalism is still somewhat intact in 4 years) deal with the issue in the next election.

If I had written this blog in December or even January, I would probably say something here like, “Prove me wrong, Mr. Obama. Prove us all wrong.” But, sadly, here we are in September and he is just making me more right everyday. In 9 months this guy has brought admitted communists to the White House to advise him, attempted to completely socialize the best health care system in the world and he hasn’t even stopped campaigning! Van Jones finally resigned this weekend which is good for him because I would hate to see what the “angry mobs” of conservatives would do if he didn’t… probably make big signs and peacefully protest somewhere and get no news coverage… oh, wait, that is already happening. What are we supposed to do? Bomb buildings? No thanks. That’s more Bill Ayers style and he is just a nut job terrorist… right, Mr. Obama?

I have a bumper sticker on my (Iraqi oil guzzling) SUV that says “How’s that whole hopey-changey thing working out for you?”  The “change” he making is scary change. So scary it is comical. Well, it would be if it weren’t true… what IS comical is that a (dangerous far right wing extremist) conservative like myself wishes EVERY DAY that Hillary Clinton was the president. But, no. Thank you people who never voted before and college kids and people who never EVER paid any attention to the world around them. Thanks so much for rolling out of bed before 2 p.m. for the 1st time in your adult life. You may now go back to not caring about any real issues. I waited in that voting line for 2 hours in the rain with people who said things like, “See? This is why I don’t ever vote.” Yeah. I’m sure that’s why. As if it was ever like that before the 2nd coming of the Messiah.

I’m not saying that all the people who voted for Obama are a drain on society. That is absurd. I’m not even saying they are all people who don’t care, but a HUGE portion of those people are people who know nothing about the world they live in and simply wanted to be able to say they voted for Obama because it was so “in” to do so. Look, I’m in favor of making history and the history that was made by electing the first black president is not lost on me. I think that aspect of it all is great. But, people, he was the WRONG GUY for the job! Oh, but McCain was… old. Yeah, look at him, he’s… old.

Well, you got your change. We have a dude in the White House that Hollywood-types seem to think we need to “serve”.  What the hell? He is supposed to SERVE the people! Not the other way around. I, for one, will sleep with 1 eye open to see to it that capitalism is not ignored and we are not just ”led to it” like the genius Bill Maher would like. My GOD I wish we had Hillary. Honestly, it doesn’t even make me shudder when I say it anymore. Now THAT is creepy.

I really HOPE we can CHANGE the focus of this Presidential election to issues that actually matter.

I am so tired of hearing about HOPE and CHANGE from Obama. If all we needed was HOPE then you would be reading my blog from the Washington Post website and I would be writing it from Maui.

Obama’s campaign is based on these 2 words that mean relatively nothing. Obama has no record to back up his Presidential aspirations. He is a Junior Senator. He has yet to complete 1 term in the U.S. Senate. All he has is a couple of buzz words and a nice smile. But, nonetheless, half of America is following this empty suit with a 1 page resume like he is the second coming.

Why? Because we are Americans. We don’t like things that make us think. We don’t read instructions or nutrition labels and we sure the hell don’t over think our politics. We want it given to us just as plain and simple as you can make it. Some will say that this is why John McCain’s so-called “Straight Talk” works so well. Some would be correct. But, the difference is, when McCain is questioned about the issues, he has real answers about his policies and his platform. Barack Obama has “HOPE” and ”CHANGE”.

Change is not always a good thing. If change comes at the hand of someone who is practically a communist, we may not be so in favor of it. Change for the sake of change is just dangerous. But, the truth is, Obama probably wouldn’t CHANGE a whole lot of anything. Sure, he says he would, and that is so cute how he thinks he will just go into the oval office and overthrow Capitalism, but, honestly, we wouldn’t stand by and let much of that happen. Then where does all that CHANGE go? Right out the window, that’s where.

Let’s consider the other, more frightening, possibility. Obama does begin to change things in the way that he sees fit and all of us “average Americans” aren’t really paying attention. (NO! Not us!) Then what? Before we know it we have an immediate troop withdrawal, socialized health care, a massive illegal alien invasion and taxes so high that we actually envy Canada.

According to the National Journal’s 27th annual vote ratings, Obama was THE MOST liberal member of senate in 2007.  http://nj.nationaljournal.com/voteratings/ Wow. The most liberal! More liberal than Ted Kennedy and, yes, more liberal than Hillary Clinton. Talk about a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Maybe the question we should be asking is not if America can handle having a black President. Maybe the question we should be asking is if Barack Obama can handle being the President. Take a look at his proposed budget. Here you go, kids. If you want an example of a nanny state, this is it. http://www.gop.com/obamaspendometer.htm  Forget working hard for what you have. Forget the “American way”. It kind of makes Bill Clinton look like a total fascist, doesn’t it? I, for one, would rather move to France than hand my paycheck over to Obama for all of his social projects.

I can only HOPE some people read up on Obama and CHANGE their votes. In the meantime, I’ll just happily sit back with John McCain and watch the democrats beat the piss out of each other a while longer. If it’s one thing I know about the democrats it’s that they’d rather destroy each other and push their fringe left agenda, than win.  Oh, yeah, that’s the stuff conservative dreams are made of.
