Never have I felt more like telling John McCain and George W. Bush to stick something in their pipes and smoke it!

If you don’t know what I am referring to, perhaps you didn’t catch the latest (largely IGNORED) story about terrorists targeting an Army base… IN ARIZONA! http://www.washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071126/NATION/111260034/1001

With the aid of Mexican drug cartels, possibly up to 60 Afghan and Iraqi terrorists were to be smuggled into the U.S. through underground tunnels and were planning an attack on Fort Huachuca, just outside of Tucson, Arizona.

This story hits a little close to home for me… litterally. Tucson is my home town. All of my immediate family lives there and most of my good friends. My best friend lives only a few miles from Fort Huachuca and her husband (who is in Iraq right now) is based out of there.

Here is the real problem with illegal immigration.

I am from Tucson. It is a border city. No one knows how dangerous open borders are more than someone who lived with them. But, yet, if I say that I am against illegal immigration, that just makes me a racist, doesn’t it? It couldn’t possibly be because I love this country and want to keep it secure! No! The public would rather beleive what the left spoon feeds them! That if I am against amnesty for undocumented ILLEGAL aliens, then I must own a pointy white hat! This kind of thinking and this kind of generallizing is the real danger. Political correctness is killing America.

 I am not a racist.

I shouldn’t have to say that before I say that I want a damn WALL and the National Guard at the border of my country! I am not anti-Mexican. I am pro-America! Sure, when I lived it Tucson, it pissed me off as much as any tax payer to go into the Emergency room that 1/2 of Mexico decides to use as their own free health clinic. My friends would tell me the stories of their elementary school age children getting their homework pages sent home to them in Spanish! It infuriated me when my mother and 2 brothers were nearly killed in a car accident because they were hit by an illegal Mexican immigrant with no driver’s license and no car insurance. I hear the stories everyday (no thanks to the main stream media) about the illegal immigrants who commit all kinds of heinous crimes. http://www.immigrationshumancost.org/text/crimevictims.html  Of course, this is an outrage!

Let us not forget that immigration policies are put into place to protect Americans, not to harm immigrants. Sometimes, unfortunately, well meaning people do get harmed, and that is a shame. And, yes, we all need our lawns mowed and our houses built. But immigration policies are about NATIONAL SECURITY and that should be priority #1!

Write your congressman! Keep the terrorists and drug dealers out of your country!  Don’t let the military base in your town be the one that they sucessfully attack!
